Northwest Airlines operates the largest Airbus A330 fleet in the world and the youngest trans-Atlantic fleet of any North American or European carrier. The A330 also operates on trans-Pacific routes. The A330 fleet consists of 32 fuel-efficient aircraft comprised of 11 A330-200 and 21 A330-300 aircraft. The A330-300 is 208 ft. 10 in. in length, wingspan 197 ft. 10 in., and the tail height is 55 ft. 2 in. The twin aisle aircraft offers lie-flat seating for 34 World Business Class passengers and 264 passengers in the main cabin. The cruising speed is 545 mph and has a range of 5300 miles.
