This panorama, taken by James Blakeway, features the University of Maryland Terrapins in their Big Ten home opener against Ohio State. The Terps play their home games at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium in College Park, Maryland. The stadium is named after Dr. H.C. Byrd, who in his 43-year career with Maryland served as the Terrapins’ head football coach, athletics director and University president.  Since opening on September 30, 1950, Byrd Stadium has undergone a number of major facelifts, resulting in a state-of-the-art facility with seating capacity for 51,852 fans.

The University of Maryland, College Park is home to over a dozen athletic teams known as the Maryland Terrapins, or "Terps". As one of the newest additions to the Big Ten Conference, the Terps joined in 2014 after 62 years in the ACC. Maryland football has called Maryland Stadium home since 1950, where the iconic red, white, black and gold flag - inspired by Maryland's state flag - is proudly flown.
