This building symbolically stands 1,776 feet tall in reference to the signing of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. As of May 10, 2013, the final antenna installation made One World Trade Center the third-tallest building on earth at its time. In addition, it became the tallest structure in the Western Hemisphere.
