This panorama, taken by James Blakeway, features the Calgary Flames battling on home ice against the Anaheim Ducks® in Round Two of the Stanley Cup® Playoffs. Honouring a tradition that started in Calgary in 1986, Calgary Flames fans come dressed in red and proudly fill the arena collectively forming the “C of Red” on game nights to show their support. The Flames were founded in 1972 in Atlanta Georgia and moved to Calgary in 1980. Through their charitable arm, the Flames Foundation for Life, the Flames have injected over $30 million into southern Alberta in support of health and wellness, education and grassroots and amateur sports.

As the third NHL team to represent the city, the Calgary Flames have developed a passionate fanbase since making their home in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1980. Playing home games at Scotiabank Saddledome, Calgary Flames panoramic pictures capture all the on-ice excitement during game time under the watchful eyes of thousands of cheering fans. Originally based out of Atlanta, Georgia, the team's name is inspired from the famous Atlanta fire started by General Sherman during the height of the Civil War. Since moving to Calgary, the team has kept the original name, now in reference to the city's booming oil industry.

Calgary Flames panoramas capture one of the most popular teams of the NHL across both Canada and the U.S., with a number of championships and awards taken throughout their history. These distinctions include a NHL Stanley Cup appearance, three conference championships, two Presidents' Trophies, and five division championships. To date, the Flames have also had five players inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. These Calgary Flames panoramic images certainly bring a sense of nostalgia and pride to NHL fans across North America, and are sure to be a focal point in any display setting where fans gather to watch Flames games.

Following the Calgary Tigers (1921-1927) and Calgary Cowboys (1975-1977), the Calgary Flames are the third team to call the city home, but have been quick to draw local passion for the great sport that is professional hockey. Now, you can relive all the excitement from Scotiabank Saddledome in these exclusive, officially-licensed Calgary Flames panoramas.
