At the far right is St. Louis Cathedral, the principal church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans. Completed in 1851, it is located at Jackson Square, the center of the French Quarter. The tranquil daytime streets of the French Quarter transform at night into a music-filled center of excitement. New Orleans has a reputation for its superb restaurants, antique shops, and jazz music, but is best known for its annual Mardi Gras celebration.

Moving right is Plaza Tower, the tall building with the mushroom top. In the center background is One Shell Square, the tallest building in both the city of New Orleans and in the state of Louisiana. To the far right is the Crescent City Connection, which refers to twin cantilever bridges that cross over the Mississippi River. A culturally rich city, New Orleans is known for its world-renowned restaurants, antique shops, jazz music and annual Mardi Gras celebration.

New Orleans is one of few cities that is lively 24 hours a day.
