SKU: VAN5
This panoramic photograph of Vancouver was taken by Christopher Gjevre. It shows Vancouver as seen looking across False Creek, an ocean inlet off English Bay that looks deceivingly like a river. Vancouver is North America's third most densely populated city, partly due to the popularity of high-rise apartments offering spectacular views of the surrounding water and mountains. Vancouver's tallest building, with its brightly lit top, is One Wall Centre. The domed stadium on the right is BC Place Stadium, home to the BC Lions football team. Vancouver, host of the 2010 Winter Olympics, has been ranked one of the best cities to live in the world in a Quality of Life survey.

This panoramic photograph of Vancouver was taken by James Blakeway. It features the downtown area as seen looking south across Coal Harbor. Vancouver is North America’s third most densely populated city, partly due to the popularity of high-rise apartments offering spectacular views of the surrounding water and mountains. It is one of the few cities in the world where you can ski, play golf, and go sailing all in the same day. It is also Canada's third largest city, with an area population of roughly 2.5 million, and is Canada’s busiest seaport. Featured on the far left with its pointed roof is Canada Place cruise ship terminal. Vancouver is the fourth largest cruise ship terminus in the world.

Vancouver, BC Skyline Pictures

The most densely populated city in Canada, Vancouver skyline photos show a metro area home to more than 2.3 million residents and the 3rd largest city in Canada. With over half of its residents not speaking English as a first language, Vancouver photos portray one of the most ethnically diverse cities in Canada.

Surrounded by mountains and water, Vancouver skyline pictures show a major metropolis surrounded by beautiful geological features. Construction in the city is unique as many high rise apartment buildings are seen in Vancouver photos, allowing a much greater population density than many other North American major cities.

One of the most prominent buildings in Vancouver skyline photos is One Wall Centre, which is one of the city's tallest buildings. The stadium seen in many aerial views in Vancouver photos is BC Place Stadium, where the BC Lions football team calls their home turf. Other prominent features of Vancouver skyline photos are the city's many cruise ship terminals, understandable as Vancouver is the 4th-largest cruise ship docking point in the world. As Canada's busiest port, the large amount of traffic and commerce exchanging throughout the city has certainly influenced the Vancouver skyline pictures we see today.

Well known as a bustling urban metropolis surrounded by beautiful natural settings, it's easy to see in a Vancouver panoramic picture why this city has been appealing to so many. With tourism as its second-largest industry, Vancouver photos hold a seemingly endless supply of points of interest for any visitor to the city to see and enjoy.
