SKU: VAN5
This panoramic photograph of Vancouver was taken by Christopher Gjevre. It shows Vancouver as seen looking across False Creek, an ocean inlet off English Bay that looks deceivingly like a river. Vancouver is North America's third most densely populated city, partly due to the popularity of high-rise apartments offering spectacular views of the surrounding water and mountains. Vancouver's tallest building, with its brightly lit top, is One Wall Centre. The domed stadium on the right is BC Place Stadium, home to the BC Lions football team. Vancouver, host of the 2010 Winter Olympics, has been ranked one of the best cities to live in the world in a Quality of Life survey.

This panoramic photograph of Vancouver was taken by James Blakeway. It features the downtown area as seen looking south across Coal Harbor. Vancouver is North America’s third most densely populated city, partly due to the popularity of high-rise apartments offering spectacular views of the surrounding water and mountains. It is one of the few cities in the world where you can ski, play golf, and go sailing all in the same day. It is also Canada's third largest city, with an area population of roughly 2.5 million, and is Canada’s busiest seaport. Featured on the far left with its pointed roof is Canada Place cruise ship terminal. Vancouver is the fourth largest cruise ship terminus in the world.

Vancouver, BC Skyline Pictures

Vancouver has grown to become the most densely populated city in Canada, but is the third-largest in the country by population. With over 2.4 million residents calling Vancouver home, over half do not speak English as a first language, making this one of the most ethnically diverse cities of the Western Hemisphere. Surrounded by mountains and water, Vancouver skyline pictures show a major metropolis surrounded by beautiful geological features. New construction is unique with a significantly higher than average percentage of high rise buildings, allowing a higher population density than most other North American cities.

One of the most prominent buildings in Vancouver is One Wall Centre, among the city's tallest buildings. Its famous stadium is BC Place Stadium, where the BC Lions football team plays home games. Other prominent features of Vancouver skyline photos include many cruise ship terminals - understandable as Vancouver is the fourth-largest cruise ship docking point in the world. As Canada's busiest port, the large amount of traffic and commerce exchanging throughout the city has certainly influenced the city we know today.

Well known as a bustling urban metropolis surrounded by beautiful natural settings, it's easy to see why this city has appealed to so many. With tourism as its second-largest industry, Vancouver holds a seemingly endless supply of points of interest for any visitor to see and enjoy.
