Pyramids Of Giza, Egypt Panoramic Picture

SKU: PYR1
This panoramic photograph of the Pyramids of Giza was taken by James Blakeway. The three largest pyramids from left to right are the pyramid of Menkaura with its subsidiary pyramids, the pyramid of Khafra, and the Great Pyramid of Khufa. The Great Pyramid of Khufa is the largest. It covers 13 acres and had an original height of 481 feet. The apex of the pyramid was probably covered with gold. Khufu's son Khafra constructed the second pyramid slightly smaller than his father's but similar in proportion. Khafra's son Menkaura built his pyramid less than half the height of the previous pyramids of his father and grand father.

The Great Pyramids of Egypt - Panoramic Pictures

Panoramic pictures of the Great Pyramids of Giza show some of the most famous landmarks of Egypt, in a site better-known as the Giza Necropolis. Located outside the metropolis of Cairo, Egypt, panoramic views of the Great Pyramids are by and large the most popular attractions at this site. The largest image at the site sits on over 13 acres of desert and is known as the Great Pyramid of Khufu. His son Khafre's complex includes the iconic Great Sphinx of Giza, and often appears larger than Khufu's pyramid simply because of its elevation. Menkaura constructed the last pyramid complex at the site, and holds the smallest pyramids by height.

While panoramic images of the Great Pyramids of Giza are listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the surrounding site holds many more worthy destinations for tourists and any lover of Egyptian history.
