Perth, Australia City Skyline Panorama - Twilight

SKU: PER1
This panoramic photograph of Perth was taken by Christopher Gjevre. Featured is downtown Perth, Western Australia's capital city, as seen looking across the Swan River. It's a vibrant, modern city that was claimed by England in 1829. The colony's difficulties included a shortage of labor, so the British government sent convicts to assist with development. The 741-foot Central Park Tower with its brightly lit roof structure is centered in the panorama and is Perth's tallest building. To its right is the 52-story Bankwest Tower. Further to the right is the Bell Tower, which is identifiable in the photograph as the tall, thin structure beside the ferry docks.

Perth, Australia Skyline Pictures

Originally founded by Captain James Stirling in 1829, Perth has grown to become the fourth-most populated city in Australia, and largest in the state of Western Australia. Set along the Swan River, the area makes Perth panoramic pictures beautiful to behold.

Many city constructions are very modern in appearance, with many angular and interesting geometric skyscrapers paneled with glass that brilliantly reflect the surrounding water and sky. The tallest of these skyscrapers captured in our Perth panoramic skylines is the 741-foot tall Central Park Tower, with its incredible staggered appearance and brightly-lit roof at night. Bankwest Tower, also known as 108 St Georges Terrace, is also easy spotted in our photos because of its skinny shape and diagonally-angled roof. The Swan Bells, also known as the Bell Tower, is a tall, thin spire seen near the ferry docks. These are a set of 18 bells hanging within a copper and glass spire reaching 271 feet in height.

Perth, Australia skyline panoramas show a remarkably modern city with stunning buildings of varying shapes and design. As a cultural center in Australia, any visit to the country is worth a stop to see these famous structures in person. Perth continues to grow as a financial power - particularly in mining operations and submarine development - as is the home to a number of international corporations and other economic activity. In viewing its dazzling skyline, many will be drawn to the otherworldly, futuristic architecture in the Perth landscape: definitely worth discovering on a visit to Australia.
