Perth Skyline Panoramic Picture, Australia

SKU: PER1
This panoramic photograph of Perth was taken by Christopher Gjevre. Featured is downtown Perth, Western Australia's capital city, as seen looking across the Swan River. It's a vibrant, modern city that was claimed by England in 1829. The colony's difficulties included a shortage of labor, so the British government sent convicts to assist with development. The 741-foot Central Park Tower with its brightly lit roof structure is centered in the panorama and is Perth's tallest building. To its right is the 52-story Bankwest Tower. Further to the right is the Bell Tower, which is identifiable in the photograph as the tall, thin structure beside the ferry docks.

Originally founded by Captain James Stirling in 1829, Perth skyline pictures show a city that has grown to become the 4th most populated in Australia, and the largest city in the state of Western Australia. The setting of this city makes Perth pictures beautiful to behold, as it is set along the Swan River often photographed in the metropolis' foreground.

The buildings seen in Perth skyline photos are very modern in appearance with many angular and interesting geometric skyscrapers paneled with glass that brilliantly reflect the surrounding water and sky. The tallest of these buildings seen in a Perth panoramas is the 741-foot tall Central Park Tower, which has an interesting staggered appearance and brightly-lit roof at night. Bankwest Tower, also known as 108 St Georges Terrace, is another landmark easily spotted in Perth panoramic photos because of its skinny shape and diagonally-angled roof. The Swan Bells, also known as the Bell Tower, is a tall, thin spire that can be seen near the ferry docks in Perth skyline panoramas. These are a set of 18 bells hanging within a copper and glass spire reaching 271 feet in height.
