Florida State University - also commonly called "Florida State" or "FSU" - was founded in 1851 and is the oldest higher education institution in the state of Florida. Located in Tallahassee, Florida, the school's athletic teams are known as the Florida State Seminoles. Like some other historically-named NCAA teams, the use of the name and images associated with Seminole history have been officially approved for use by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The athletic team mascots however are unique to collegiate football, and since 1978 the team mascots have been Osceola and Renegade - an actual historical figure, Seminole war leader Osceola.
Since 1991, Florida State University varsity teams have been members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). While the institution has 20 varsity teams, the football program is one of the most widely followed in collegiate sports. With over a century of play, Florida State football panoramas capture the excitement from Bobby Bowden Field at Doak S. Campbell Stadium. The venue has become one of the largest of the East Coast.
The traditions of Florida State football have grown exponentially in recent years to become one of the most competitive teams in college football. FSU football pictures capture the excellence of a team who have captured multiple national championship titles and, through the 1990s, even boasted an 89% winning percentage. With many years of domination in NCAA football to come, Florida State Seminoles football panoramas make an excellent way for any fan to display their pride year-round.
