Saint Paul, MN Skyline Pictures

As the capital and second-most populated city in Minnesota, St. Paul skyline pictures capture the scenery within one half of the Twin Cities metropolitan area, home to 3.3 million residents. Incorporated as a city in 1854, the colorful skyline of downtown St. Paul showcases the most densely populated area in Minnesota.

One of the most recognizable landmarks in St. Paul skyline pictures is the Italian Renaissance styled white Minnesota State Capitol building with its domed roof. The tallest building in downtown St. Paul pictures is Wells Fargo Place, which was commonly referred to by its nickname of "The Minnesota World Trade Center" prior to the events of September 11, 2001.

Another significant landmark that is easily picked out from St. Paul skyline pictures is the Xcel Energy Center, which is the home stadium of the Minnesota Wild hockey team and the National Lacrosse League's Minnesota Swarm. This site is the location of many other concerts and sporting events in the city, such as the Minnesota High School Boys Hockey Tournament, the Minnesota High School Girls Volleyball Tournament, and many other large-scale concerts.

Viewing panoramic pictures of the colorful St. Paul city skyline makes it easy to understand how this area continues to hold so much significance in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
