Sprawled along the banks of the Mississippi River, the city of Saint Paul is the capital and second-most populous city in the state of Minnesota. To the far left, in the background, is the brightly lit Minnesota State Capitol, with its domed roof. The large arena shaped building, located left of center, is home of the Minnesota Wild hockey team, the Xcel Energy Center. Moving to the right is the tallest building, Wells Fargo Place, formerly known as The Minnesota World Trade Center. To the far right, along the river, is the Wabasha Street Bridge, a segmental bridge that spans the Mississippi River.

To the right of the Ice Palace is Xcel Energy Center, home of the Minnesota Wild Hockey Team. The brightly lit Minnesota State Capitol, with its domed roof, is visible in the background. Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, St. Paul and neighboring Minneapolis are often referred to as the Twin Cities.

This panorama, taken by James Blakeway, commemorates the St. Paul Saints season opener at their new Lowertown ballpark - CHS Field, located in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. One of the most affordable, handicapped-accessible and environmentally sustainable professional sports arenas in the country, the Saints new home is situated slightly below ground level and consists primarily of fold-up stadium seating, as well as bleachers and a grassy berm near the Fourth Street entrance, to accommodate 7,000 fans. The Saints have a long history dating back to 1884. The current inception of the Saints was formed in 1993 and has become one of the most successful teams in the Northern League.

St. Paul, Minnesota City Skyline Wall Decor
