Almost everyone in the crowd of 105,826, the third-largest in Ohio State history, was donning the Buckeyes’ shade of red. The Ohio State University football team played their first game on May 3, 1890. Ohio Stadium is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places and has been home to Buckeye football since 1922.

To this day, only sousaphone players with a minimum of 4 years membership are allowed to dot the I.

The Ohio State Buckeyes represent The Ohio State University in NCAA Division I athletics. The team is named after the state tree, and nickname for residents of Ohio. The athletics program is one of only five in the U.S. to win national championships in baseball, men's basketball, and football, not to mention in many of its other programs. The Ohio State football program - played at Ohio Stadium - has especially brought many exciting seasons to fans in Columbus, capturing national championships and making dozens of appearances in NCAA Tournaments.

Ranked 18th in attendance, Ohio State basketball is a growing powerhouse across the Big Ten Conference. Their home court at Value City Arena accommodates over 18,000 fans, where the Buckeyes arrive in Scarlet to cheer their team on to victory. The Ohio State basketball program has been celebrated for over a hundred years and will surely continue to impress.
