Moving to the right, is the tallest building in Kansas City, the 42-story One Kansas City Place. Continuing right is Sprint Center and, to the far right, is the Western Auto sign, reminiscent of the company started in 1909. Downtown Kansas City was selected as one of America's best downtowns for its music, art, entertainment and cuisine – most notably barbecue.

Designed in 1922, it is an outdoor museum featuring Spanish architecture and European art. Thanksgiving evening, thousands of visitors officially welcome the holiday season at the annual lighting of this upscale shopping district. Tens of thousands of multi-colored lights, spanning dozens of miles, outline the buildings and creates a magical wonderland that continues through mid-January.
