Texas Tech University, originally known as Texas Technological College, was founded in 1923 in Lubbock, Texas, and currently enrolls over 28,200 students.

A colorful symbol of school spirit and pride, the Texas Tech Masked Rider and Fearless Champion, a jet black quarter horse, charge onto the field leading the team. This is the first meeting between the Texas Tech and Arkansas since 1991.
