Founded in 1907, East Carolina University is a public, doctoral, research and sea grant university in Greenville, North Carolina. The campus has grown from 43 acres to nearly 1,600 today, with hundreds of majors and student clubs available to students in addition to the enjoyment of its rich athletics program.
Famous on the East Coast is the athletics program's logo and mascot, inspired by the infamous pirate Blackbeard.
