The most famous landmark in Pisa skyline wall decor is the "Leaning Tower of Pisa." However, the city has many other famous landmarks. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the bell tower of the city's cathedral, Pisa Cathedral. The cathedral is an excellent example of Romanesque architecture, and began construction in 1063. However, the full site is known as the Campo dei Miracoli. This is also home to the great religious structures of the Baptistry and the Camposanto.
Another famous feature seen in Pisa skyline art is its University, originally founded in 1343. The world-known scholar, Galileo, was one of its students.
As a city with thousands of years of history, it's understandable why Pisa skyline pictures hold so much fascination today. While the Leaning Tower of Pisa is its most famous icon, many other wonders can be found within for all those interested in Roman and Italian history and architecture.
