This evening was a test for both highly ranked teams and one of the nation’s biggest showdowns. In the end, the Cowboys won with a victorious final score of 49-17. OSU fans showed their support with a long-standing tradition of rising to their feet, waving one arm, while singing The Waving Song, “Oklahoma State! Oklahoma State! We'll sing your praise tonight!” Oklahoma State football boasts one of the nation’s top football powers, with a rich bowl history that includes many of the most prestigious games in college football.

Known as the Bedlam football game, the annual battle is between the Oklahoma State University Cowboys and the University of Oklahoma Sooners. Like most other intrastate rivalries, the Bedlam Series goes beyond football. It began more than 100 years ago with the rivalry between the two schools' prestigious wrestling programs. Today, football and basketball games stand out as the marquee events. This Bedlam football game was hosted by the Cowboys at Boone Pickens Stadium but regardless of location, Bedlam is for Oklahoma bragging rights and is one of the most intense games of the year.

This panorama of Gallagher-Iba Arena, taken by James Blakeway, captures the excitement of the Oklahoma State University Cowboys basketball team playing on their home court. Originally completed in 1938, Gallagher Hall was named to honor wrestling coach Ed Gallagher. After renovations in 1987, it was renamed Gallagher-Iba Arena, in honor of former basketball coach and innovator Henry Iba. The original white maple floor remains the oldest basketball court currently in use. Nicknamed the "Madison Square Garden of the Plains," the arena seats 13,611 fans. Established in 1890, the University enrolls over 20,000 students on its Stillwater, Oklahoma campus.
